High-end residential lobby — the kind of environment Nickel & Krome is built to serve

Founded 2025 · Montréal · Laval · North Shore

Built on ten years of field experience. Launched to finish the work properly.

Two partners. A decade in construction management. A recurring problem they couldn't ignore. Nickel & Krome was built to close the gap between demanding environments and the level of execution they actually deserve.

The origin

There is something you notice after a decade spent close to building deliveries and site turnovers: the problem is never the difficulty of the work. The problem is that radically different environments are treated as if they were interchangeable.

A condo corridor the day before buyers take possession. A common area under active occupancy. A commercial unit between two tenants. A residential space after renovation work. These are not the same mandate. They don't call for the same approach, the same timing, or the same standard of finish.

In 2025, professionals with more than ten years inside construction management — coordinating subcontractors, managing delivery windows, and walking final inspections — decided to close that gap. Supported by hands-on field experience and advanced training in business development, Nickel & Krome launched around a single operating principle: every intervention must be read, scoped, and executed according to what it actually is. Not according to what is convenient.

Operational capacity

Operational capacity built for large-scale assignments

Nickel & Krome has a network of 22 subcontractors and access to a pool of up to 60 field resources available for deployment, based on each assignment’s needs and confirmed availability. These figures describe separate measures and are not added together.

This capacity allows us to deploy multiple teams for commercial cleaning, building concierge services, property maintenance, post-construction cleaning and specialized work in Montreal, Laval and Greater Montreal.

From a single building to multi-site contracts, our operating structure supports large properties and assignments requiring several teams at once. Staffing is planned around the area to be serviced, deadlines, working hours, access and the client’s specific requirements.

What workforce capacity can Nickel & Krome mobilize?

“We didn't want to build another cleaning company. We wanted to build the company we would have wanted as a partner when we were on the other side of the job site.”

What we refuse

A standard that starts from context, not a generic playbook.

01

Vague scope and generic execution

Every mandate starts with a proper read of the site — the property type, occupancy stage, visibility of surfaces, and deadline reality. We don't apply the same template to environments that are nothing alike.

02

Interchangeable methods

A post-construction handover, a common area under occupation, and a commercial unit between tenants require different approaches, different timing, and different standards of finish. We treat them accordingly.

03

Surface-level follow-up

When the work is done, the result should hold. Under real deadlines, real scrutiny, and real conditions. Our standard isn't measured when we leave — it's measured when the client walks the space.

04

Indifference to context

The stage of work, the visibility of the result, the people waiting on the other side of the handover — all of it shapes how we execute. Operational context is not a detail. It's the starting point.

The team

What we hold ourselves to on every mandate.

01

Operational discipline

We plan around the site reality, not around a fixed template. That means reading the constraints — occupancy, access, sequencing — before we define the scope, not after.

02

Site awareness

People who understand operational environments bring a different quality of attention than people who are simply completing tasks. That awareness is what we build our teams around.

03

Reliability without excuses

When a handover window is fixed, a delivery date isn't a suggestion. We build our execution around the deadline. Adjustment on the fly, calm under pressure, and results that hold — that's the expectation we hold ourselves to.

04

Finish quality that holds

The work is finished when the space looks right under real conditions — not just when we've completed the checklist. We treat every visible surface as if the owner, the manager, or the inspector is standing right there.
